In an ever-changing culinary environment, the James Beard Foundation is a constant pillar of American cuisine. Continuing the work of its namesake—cookbook author, teacher and champion of American fare, James Beard—the foundation nurtures generations of chefs, rewards American culinary creativity, and explores how food enriches our lives.
The James Beard Foundation and Norwegian Seafood Council Celebrate Culinary Heritage
Just as the James Beard Foundation celebrates America’s diverse culinary heritage, the Norwegian Seafood Council is proud to support Norway’s cultural and culinary identity. Inspired by their natural surroundings, Norwegian chefs look to the sea to enhance and refine their modern interpretations of traditional cuisine. Together, the organizations seek to explore and educate why food matters, both culturally and environmentally.
The Norwegian Seafood Council is proud to support the James Beard Foundation as it honors America’s culinary traditions and top culinary talent.
The Norwegian Seafood Council Sponsors the 2016 Taste America Event
In Fall 2016, the James Beard Foundation will host its annual cross-country Taste America event to support the Taste America Scholarship Fund, which helps foster the next generation of culinary talent. Attendees at eight cities across the United States will be able to enjoy Norwegian Seafood at these exceptional culinary events.
